Capacitor Coupling

Capacitor Coupling for Minimum Impedance

By Anto Davis and Steve Sandler

This article illustrates how a negative coupling coefficient produces a larger anti-resonant peak compared to a positive coupling coefficient, even though the equivalent inductance is lower. Learn more.

Female Power Contacts for 2mm Pitch Connectors

Harwin has announced the introduction of a new female contact for its Datamate connectors that enables significant increases in power delivery levels to be realized. Utilizing a unique, proprietary 6-finger design which is machined from a single piece of beryllium copper, the T-Contact raises the current capacity on compact 2mm pitch interconnection systems, with up to 8.5A per contact being supported.

Molex Collaborates with BlackBerry on an Automotive Network for Secure and Intelligent Vehicles

Molex announced it has teamed up with BlackBerry Limited on the development of a 10 Gbps Ethernet Automotive Networking platform designed to increase data bandwidth in intelligent connected vehicles. The new Molex network platform will be officially unveiled at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Analyzing Power Integrity Issues from Power Plane Interactions

This white paper will explore some of the potential power integrity issues that can affect a PCB and explain how simulation can be used to help reduce these effects.

Mainstream SERDES Design and Analysis

So you're designing SerDes links running between 5 and 25 Gbps? What do you need to look at to make sure that your board will work the first time, and meet your performance goals? It depends on the protocol, and can involve time-domain metrics such as eye masks or frequency-domain metrics such as insertion loss. Attendees will learn requirements for simulating popular SerDes protocols and new analysis methods.
