Henning Mextorf

Henning Mextorf

Henning Mextorf received a Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical and information engineering and a Dr.-Ing. degree from the University of Kiel, Kiel, Germany, in 2008 and 2013, respectively.

From 2008 to 2013, he was a Scientific Assistant with the Microwave Laboratory at the University of Kiel. He then spent four years with Raytheon-Anschütz GmbH, serving as a Radar Systems Engineer and Project Manager focused on research projects. In 2017, he joined Thales Deutschland GmbH, where he was a Systems Engineering Manager and Systems Architect in the field of marine radar. Since 2021, he has been a Professor with the West Coast University of Applied Sciences, Heide, Germany.

In this article, Henning Mextorf presents a general approach to improve directivity which does not require a modification of the dimensions of the coupled line structure and provides closed form solutions for optimum capacitor values.
