The PSMP connector series from Amphenol RF provides a solution for blind-mate applications requiring high power. PSMP connectors have the same PCB footprint as the SMP connector and are designed to handle up to 200 W at 2.2 GHz and operate to 10 GHz.

Developed for board-to-board applications, the compact three-piece design supports a minimum board spacing of 12.6 mm, which allows maximum flexibility for high density board spacing and blind-mating situations. The PSMP interconnects are flexible, tolerating misalignment of 1 mm axial and 4 degrees radial. They are available in smooth bore, limited detent and full detent configurations.

With the same PCB footprint as the SMP connector, the PSMP can easily replace the SMP in applications that require higher power handling. PSMP interconnects are suitable for a wide range of board-to-board applications, including base stations, filter units, amplifiers and handheld radios.
