Passive Plus, Inc. (PPI) now offers extended-values for the Traditional NP0, Hi-Q 0505 (.055” x.055”) -- now available up to 1,000pF; and 1111 (.110” x.110”) -- now available up to 10,000pF (.01uF).

Passive Plus, Inc. (PPI) offers a Low ESR/ESL EIA capacitor series. These multi-layer capacitors have been developed for High-Q and Microwave applications including base station products and L/C filters.  The 0805N and 1111N series capacitors have high self-resonance frequencies (to 25 GHz), exhibit NP0 characteristics, and are 100% RoHS compliant.

Passive Plus, Inc. (PPI) is now offering the 0708N (.065” x .080”) series capacitor. These parts exhibit Low ESR/ESL, Low Noise, High Self-Resonance as well as ultra-stable performance over temperature. These capacitors are 100% RoHS compliant and also available in Tin/Lead termination.

Passive Plus, Inc. (PPI) now offers Tin/Lead termination for the Traditional High Q/Low ESR line of capacitors.  PPI’s Tin/Lead plated termination is composed of 90%Sn 10%Pb solder (SnPb 90/10) over a nickel plating.  All parts meet or exceed MIL-PRF-55681 and MIL-PRF-123.

These capacitors now have extended voltage of 50V and 250V respectively, Case sizes are 100% RoHS, and exhibit Low ESR/ESL, Low Noise, High Self-Resonance, as well as ultra-stable performance over temperature.

Modern wireless communications systems are based on an ever-expanding array of standards and boast new and sophisticated functionality. This serves to complicate an already challenging design and test process. Keysight Technologies’ Advanced Design System (ADS) software has been used by RF and microwave designers to solve the most demanding problems.

The SAM40 provides up to 24 input channels for low frequency (sensor signal) acquisition and analysis. It connects to a 4 or 8 channel Teledyne LeCroy 12-bit resolution high definition oscilloscope (HD4096 HDOs and MDAs) to provide Analog+Digital+Sensor (up to 8+16+24 channel) acquisitions.

For designers of integrated circuits and circuit boards, electromagnetic emissions are a critical concern. Designers need to ensure the final products comply with international standards for controlling radiated emissions. They must also ensure that a product does not cause self-interference or interference with other devices when part of a larger system. If electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) problems are not detected and fixed early in the design process, the consequences can include production delays, missed time-to-market goals and higher costs.

Signal Microwave and GigaProbes have developed a line of 40 and 70 GHz test boards for verifying VNA calibration (cal) and checking for measurement drift. To check a cal, many operators use only a low loss through adapter; however, this only verifies that the system noise was removed. A “golden unit” with a known response over frequency should be used to verify that the cal was successful.

The new version of EMF Visual is even more powerful thanks to advanced features. It now uses GPU resources, which provide coverage of larger areas for exposure evaluation and enables the use of the Geographical Information System (GIS) database or 3D objects conversion for direct loading of virtual 3D scenes, while interfacing with SketchUp software. In addition, the new version allows users to assign material properties to the entire surrounding 3D environment in order to take into account their impact on exposure levels, while still making fast calculations.
