Event Description

Title:  Power Integrity Measurements: Challenges and Best Practices

Date:  May 16, 2018

Time:  8am PT/ 11am ET

Presented By:  Mike Schnecker, Business Development Manager at Rohde & Schwarz

Sponsored by:  Rohde & Schwarz

Abstract:
Higher IC density, faster clock speeds, lower power consumption, and ever-increasing product functionality continues to drive lower supply voltages. Ripple, noise, and transients on these power rails cause design problems including increased jitter. Making accurate power integrity measurements continues to challenge traditional oscilloscopes (due to probing, noise level, offset range, update rate etc.) and methods as DC rails move to lower voltages with tighter tolerances. Learn the best practices, methods and techniques for making more accurate power integrity measurements with your oscilloscope.

This webinar will provide the latest update on technical benefits addressed by specialized power rail probes uniquely designed for power rail measurements. Background on minimizing noise and proper methods for probing will be presented along with measurement examples.

Presenter Bio:
Mike Schnecker has more than two decades experience in the test and measurement industry in applications, sales and product development roles. He specializes in all things oscilloscope related, especially signal integrity applications including jitter and timing. Prior to joining Rohde & Schwarz, Mike held positions at LeCroy and Tektronix.
