For many interconnect products, more than 50% of design time is spent on reducing resonances. This paper provides a basic electromagnetic understanding of resonant behavior, a method for quickly determining resonant frequencies, a secondary set of metrics to evaluate if a particular frequency is excited or not, and a set of examples.
